Hi, I’m Todd Whalen, the founder of Advanced Tax Solutions, CPA, PC, and DIY IRS Help. I know firsthand how overwhelming tax problems can feel—the stress, the financial strain, and the fear of dealing with the IRS. It’s tough, but here’s the good news: tough doesn’t mean impossible.
Over the past 30+ years, I’ve helped thousands of clients navigate even the most complex IRS issues. I’m a CPA, an Enrolled Agent, and a Certified Tax Resolution Specialist. I’m also licensed by the United States Tax Court, which means I can take the IRS to court for abuse of power in collection cases. I’ve been called to testify in criminal tax cases, worked alongside criminal tax attorneys on unfiled return cases, and yes—I’ve seen what happens when people ignore their tax problems.
That’s why I’m so passionate about helping people like you. Whether your situation feels small or completely overwhelming, I’ve spent my career negotiating with the IRS and finding solutions that work.
I originally created DIY IRS Help for two groups of people: those who can’t afford professional services and those whose issues are small enough that hiring a resolution firm doesn’t make sense.
